Hello, I'm new to the board - due in April - I wondered if anybody knew of any antenatal classes in Crouch End? I've spoken to my local NCT booking secretary and she says no local courses are planned for that time of year. I'm going to attend the ones put on by my local hospital but I'd love to meet other mums living nearby in a more informal environment.

I have been doing a course run by North London Antenatal Teachers in Crouch End (antenatalclasses.org.uk) - the teacher also does NCT courses some of the time.

Yoga classes in East Finchley. Try www.stretchingpeople.co.uk or how about www.yogabirth.org.
Not sure about Crouch End, try local health food shop.

Bit late for me now as due any day but thought I'd let you know that I know several friends who have been to the plusbaby classes in North London(www.plusbaby.co.uk) and thought they were great - very reassuring and lots of practical information too...wish I'd heard about it before.

Hello to the "mums to be" of North London,

I am a Hatha Yoga teacher based in Crouch End.
I have been teaching Ante Natal Yoga on a one to one basis.
My clients have given me a good feed back of how the breath control techniques I taught them helped considerably during labour.
If you have the needs for a few classes to help you with the birthing process then I can help you achieve a more relaxed and confident attitude during your pregnancy.
I am available from August 2008 onwards.

For more details contact Marie 07904 561090 or visit: www.yogablue.co.uk

Hi There, do you know about the Active Birth Centre a yoga centre dedicated to yoga for women in pregnancy and after the birth. The classes will prepare you for labour and birth as well as helping with your posture etc now.
The centre is in Archway N19, so not far at all from Crouch End it is a wonderful enviroment and has all the props plus time for tea and discussion. We have classes through out the week as well as workshops for couples for birth preparation and a wonderful therapy clinic that specialises in working with pregnant women as well as postanal women and their babies and the whole family.
Take a look at the ABC website for more information
Or if you wish you can call me direct 020 7281 7059
