I've told my mum and dad as we spent the day with them yesterday. Going to tell my sis tomorrow as she is coming to visit (and me & my mum won't be able to keep it a secret) but hope everyone else will be kept in the dark until 12 weeks x

Thats the best way to do it. I bet they will be so pleased!

I might step it up a gear and do some ttc shopping later!

broodysnoopstie · 26/05/2014 16:35

OOh love a ttc shop. What's on the list?

So far ive got clearblue digital ov sticks (10) regular not dual hormone. 2 x boots own 4 day early tests and a balance activ conceive fertility spray. I already have folic acid and pregnancy vitamin gives me headache. Have I missed anything? Would you go for the dual hormone ones instead??

broodysnoopstie · 26/05/2014 17:27

I used the dual hormone ones but only because they were on a deal.. I think the ordinary ones were just as good, not forgetting good ole cheapy opks they have served me well too.. although I know they don't work for some.

I tell you what didn't work for me at all and was a big waste of money (but I will be sending it to a friend who is ttc so not all bad) was the cb fertility monitor it never gave me a peak just days and days of highs.

I mainly just took folic acid too, but I have bought some full on preg vits today.. and obviously because I am still on cloud 9 I am also advocating the £5 baby mad bbt on amazon as this was the first cycle I temped all the way and bobs your uncle!! probably wasn't the temping just lucky but at a fiver is worth a shot!

The other thing I have been surprised at is the oh so sensitive ic pg tests are bloody rubbish! Yesterday and today after waiting nearly 10mins a pink faint line compared to not very sensitive boots own and digi coming up bold and strong as you like in a flash! Don't think I'd bother with IC next time.. too much heartache and doubt.. Just my opinion though.

When are you expecting AF Wood?

Also a top tip of mine is get your dp to buy you copious bottles of plonk when returning from france (or other suitable country) in duty free and sod's law you won't be able to drink it!

onelifeonechance · 26/05/2014 18:55

That's the best news, yeay!!! Huge congrats lovely!!!

I don't get chance to check in and look what happens! You must be besides yourself!

I fully agree with Wood, the rules definitely stipulate that you have to hang about til we're all in the club Wink

That's made my eve, hurray for you! Enjoy it, it's been a long time coming Smile

woodwaj · 26/05/2014 20:36

I've seen a lot recently on IC tests being a bit rubbish I haven't got any at the mo so I wont buy any more!

Im on CD 27 im averaging 30 days at the moment but it has been different! I would love to join you in the race to pop one out ;) but I cant help thinking I would know and I don't have that feeling right now!

Here is the thermometer I have for temping. Ive never done well at it though!

I knew you would be shocked onelife haha. How is your month going?

Not so new and not so expert!
onelifeonechance · 26/05/2014 20:47

It's going ok ta Wood, it's pretty liberating actually being forced not to ttc, thought I'd hate it but I'm actually loving not symptom spotting or wondering all the time. Af due next weekend and then it's back in the saddle so to speak Wink News like Broody's helps to keep the dream alive don't you think? Smile

Hope you're getting along ok too, fingers crossed af stays away!

onelifeonechance · 26/05/2014 20:48

And whilst we're at it where's Vix, it must be incredibly close to meeting mini v time no?

woodwaj · 26/05/2014 22:30

Very very close! Time has flown hasn't it!! And defo always lovely to hear a success!

I've ordered my stuff 45 quid that will come in handy I hope! I'm interested in the fertility spray!

Im thinking of drawing out a calendar rather than use an app. Stick dtd dates on it temps and opk results. But I haven't decided yet on whether to temp or not!

So broody important question. Will you be having a surprise or not?

broodysnoopstie · 27/05/2014 08:59

Haha Thanks One. It was a very exciting Sunday. There were 3 bfps on may bus! That looks similar to mine wood I think perhaps being on clomid messes with temps though.. it did for my friend.

Hope vicky is ok. She has probably lost the thread again I do when I haven't posted for a while.

My best friend just asked me if I'd got my period I said no she said have you tested I said yep she said negative? I said uh huh.. it feels awful lieing! I won't make it until 12 weeks I know!

I don't know re suprise. I'd love it to be a surprise but I'd also love to know to plan! !

OP posts:
woodwaj · 27/05/2014 11:33

I haven't had clomid for a while now my cm seems to be back to normal. I might give it another go!

You should ask her for a tampon or something proper throw her off (unless it was by text then thats just a bit weird) she will stop asking then I presume as she will think your out for another month. Even if you dont last 12 weeks she will totally understand if you wait a few weeks im sure! I am a BAD liar so good luck!

Fleurlur · 28/05/2014 23:02

Eeee broody I'm so happy for you after that ridiculously long cycle you had before!! Congratulations :D

We're no longer TTC at the moment, we're waiting until December but I'll pop on and now again to check in!

broodysnoopstie · 29/05/2014 08:13

Thanks Fleur, waiting until December that's a long time I'll be quite close to my edd! Good luck anyway :)

Wood I'm a terrible liar too think I got away with it though

OP posts:
woodwaj · 29/05/2014 08:42

Im glad I have hardly told anyone it makes the lying easier!! I would totally cave! CD 30 for me. No AF yet. Normal cycle can be anything from 28 to 33 days though. Did you ring the docs?

broodysnoopstie · 29/05/2014 09:28

Oooh well let's hope you make it to cd34.. Keep me updated. Any symptoms you are noticing but trying to pretend aren't there so as not to get hopes up?

Yep doc appt today :)

OP posts:
woodwaj · 29/05/2014 10:05

I had a really metallic taste in my mouth yesterday. But I do feel like I might be getting a cold. (Heavy eyes bit groggy) Spots disappeared from the other day and AF cramps not here yet. Trying not to get my hopes up though as nothing solid like yours!

Good luck x

broodysnoopstie · 29/05/2014 13:44

I still have the metallic taste on and off, and feel like I'm getting a cold. Just saying. Will you test if AF doesn't show? Xx

OP posts:
woodwaj · 29/05/2014 14:05

I will test saturday I think. I have a strict no testing on a workday rule! Haha. Dont you get my hopes up broody haha. Have you been docs?
