Message from Amanda1

I got an email from her this evening and she asked me to tell you this:

"I went into labour last Thursday evening and Rebecca Alice was born at 825pm. I had to have an emergency caesarian because of my placenta problem. I came home this afternoon.

There will be no birth or death certificate as she didn't live outside of me. Because I was less than 24 weeks it counts as an early miscarriage and not a stillbirth. No record of her life.

I wondered if you could post something on the Feb 06 antental thread for me please. Or start a thread in the antenatal section just to let them know. I probably won't be on mumsnet for a while until I get my head and life back together."

I'm very sorry to be the bearer of bad news. I'll pass on any messages.

Oh, how awful. I don't 'know' Amanda1 as such, but have read her posts on MN and admired her strength very much. Please tell her I'm thinking of her.

Please tell her on behalf of the Feb thread that we're all very, very sad to hear her news, and that we hope that she has some friends around her who can offer support. We're all here for her if there is anything we can do to help, and we hope to see her back on Mumsnet in the future. xx

Amanda if you check in on your messages I am so sorry to hear of your terrible loss. You have had a lot to deal with and such a tragic end. I wish you all the support in the world with getting your life back in order and please remember where we are should you feel the need for anything.

I don't really know all of your story Amanda but i just wanted to say how sorry I am Such terribly terribly sad news.
Hope you get your head together and have enough support around you to make doing so a bit easier x

Oh how awful . Please ask Amanda to come back, Rhubarb. Mumsnet really does help because you can talk your head off here in a way that others in RL might not allow.

Amanda is a midwife, isn't she? She doesn't need to feel extra strong or as if she should 'know better' because of her job.

You're a woman in distress - please come and feel our hugs...we want to be here for you.

I am so very, very sorry to hear this Amanda after all that you've been through this last year or so. Life can seem so unfair. I just hope and pray that things can improve for you in the future. You've been so brave and strong. Thinking of you. xx
