florence minnie was born on wednesday 29th july at 3:25 am. she's 6lbs11oz (3.01kg) with massses of black hair. i was induced, and labour was about 15 hours in total. i had a fantastic epidural, and pushed her out myself in 15 minutes - verry different to ds' ventouse & forceps assisted arrival (she's a pound lighter than he was). she's breastfeeding with gusto. ds is being a star, very interested and gentle. we are thoroughly enjoying being a family of 4.

snafu · 02/07/2005 15:07

Lovely news, hc, and gorgeous names

Can I ask where you had her?

hoxtonchick · 02/07/2005 15:17

la la la, fingers in ears, i can't hear you tamum .

i had her at the homerton, snafu, & they were fantastic, looked after us brilliantly. did you have your ds there, or am i having a memory blip?

snafu · 02/07/2005 15:23

Yes, I did! My lovely, lovely midwife was called Alison and she was utterly fabulous (and there was a rather delicious anaesthetist who did my epi, iirc!)

Postnatal care, not so good, but well looked after on delivery suite

Frizbe · 02/07/2005 15:30

well done and congrats

hoxtonchick · 02/07/2005 16:13

i went through 4 shifts of midwives in the delivery suite . they were all fab though. one nasty dr who broke my waters, otherwise all great (one kept apologising to me whilst hitting me hard in the tummy to evacuate retained clots....). and a yummy anaethetist too! postnatal care wasn't too bad, though the ward was much too hot, & you had to chase people for a bit of attention.

madam screaming for my boobs again, gotta go....

mrsdarcy · 02/07/2005 17:08

Well done HC! Nice nidwives and some anaesthetist totty as well! What more can a girl want ?
I love her names. Great choice.
