Hi Folks - thanks for the support and entertainment when I was pg - well now I feel I can finally join the ranks of all you mumsnetters.

I won't bore you with the details but I gave birth to a girl at 13:49 05/05/03 called Caoimhe (pronounced Keeva) - it's Irish like my dp - and he still is my dp as he was a star through the whole experience and even let me come on mumsnet as soon as I was home!

congrats - take it easy though - don't do anything for a while expect dote on littleun. No housework...in fact do a sophie wessex if you can.

Bobsmum · 07/05/2003 15:33

Welcome Caoimhe, well done Ninja!

WedgiesMum · 07/05/2003 16:10

Well done you - and what a lovely name!

ninja · 07/05/2003 16:34

Thank you all, my parent's have been up and they're not sure about the name but I knew I could rely on you lot to be positive. I have found the internet is a great way of stopping the phone ringing (and giving dp quality time with her).

Demented - yes there is now another cloth bottomed baby in the world - exclusively since she came home. Mainly muslins and Mothercare shaped for the moment, she seems so tiny (only 6lb 11oz) and dp has done 90% ofvthe changes - what a star. you'll have to excuse typing just come in to feed!

ok you can have the labour story but later - still a little tender, long, stiches and some help. enough for now but thanks again

Great news ninja - you'll now be a regular on the b/f and sleepless nights threads - wonder if you'll dare to venture onto the GF threads too

ninja · 07/05/2003 20:21

Only onto the ones that have a Yurt Crystaltips! - Have to admit she slept in with us most of last night so I guess I am already turning to the dark side (according to Gina).

Ninja - isn't it lovely though to wake up and see their beautiful little face and hear their soft, peaceful breathing... sigh........

Glad DP is helping loads It gives your body a bit of time to heal. And the quicker you heal, the quicker you can start trying for number 2.

M2T Broody as always....

leander · 08/05/2003 12:05

congrats Ninja, and welcome baby caoimhe what a beautifull name.xx

ninja · 08/05/2003 21:53

Thanks M2T - you're right, but I haven't quite forgotten the labour for no.1 yet - body feels like I've been fighting and I can't sit down (I'm sure you all know why that is! - actually both possile reasons)

She's so beautiful, I'm loving the feeding, and now the phone calls have calmed down and we have been left alone for the evening just being a family. Enough sickliness for now - thanks again for the responses

Congratulations Ninja, welcome to your new baby girl.

happyspider · 11/05/2003 12:34

Congratulations Ninja!

Guess now you have a lot to deal with, but at least it's outside your body and so it's easier to check on! And of course you get the reward to see her smiling!

Dahlia · 12/05/2003 16:08

Well Done Ninja! And what a gorgeous name!
Hope you're getting some sleep....
