Congrats - I two am proud mother of two boys and very pleased to be - they are so much fun!

Congrats Deegward! Apparently I'll be joining this mother of boys club in 4 months, its makes a refreshing change to hear such positive comments about raising all boys, instead of the usual "nevermind maybe next time". I think its wonderful for boys to grow up with brothers around them. Sam is also a great name, my sons name as well.

Congratulations...I have 2 boys as well, 10 months and 3 1/2 and they are such good pals already! The baby loves the rough and tumble with older brother....my most used phrase already is 'be careful with him' but baby just giggles and laughs when big brother rolls around the floor with him!!

2 boys are great!!

EmmaTMG · 21/04/2003 20:53

I don't know if anyone else felt like this but when DS2 was born I felt like I was really clever and special to have produced two boys, like I was the only person ever to do it. It was a really lovely feeling and if I have another boy this time I'm sure I'll feel it again....blimey I'll probably feel super-human!!

A girl would be nice too though, just incase this little one is a girl and is reading my thoughts!!!

EmmaTMG · 21/04/2003 20:58

Eve....my two are just the same, although abit older (4 next week and 22 months), Partners in crime springs to mind with mine.
They are so funny and such good fun.

Congratulations deeward and welcome to the all boys club.....also congratulations on such a quick post after having little Sam, I wonder if you've got a Mumsnet record?

Hughsie · 23/04/2003 13:28

I feel special having produced two boys too - and this thread makes me feel really pleased with myself - always activates my let down reflex when I get emotional about them so i hope ds2 wakes for feeding soon!

Well done us!!!

jinna · 23/04/2003 14:32

congratulations
i have two boys - one is 5 and the other is nearly 1 - they are wonderful
but i must admit that i would like to have a girl - i have talked it over with my husband but financially we would be very tight and so have decided to stick to the two
but sometimes when i see a mother and daughter together i get a strange pain in my chest as i know i am not going to have that wonderful mother and daughter bond - i do love my boys and am very close with them - does anyone else feel the same

Gem13 · 23/04/2003 14:37

Congratulations deegward!

I have one DS (I really wanted a boy) but both DH and I didn't mind what we had next time round.

Now we want another boy...!

Hughsie · 23/04/2003 15:01

jinna - I sometimes think it would be nice once they get to being about 20 when I think mothers and daughters can enjoy close ties - I do with my mother. The shopping trips would be fun too!

I'm not sure about a third and I wouldn't want to be 'trying' for a girl as boys are so lovely!

Tillysmummy · 23/04/2003 16:01

Congrats deegward hope you all are well.
