...Is called Benjamin and he was born at 11.14pm on the 8/11 weighing in at 7lbs7, 15 days early.

Painful but short labour, only about 5/6 hrs after my waters broke in the morning. No gas and air untill I either was or not far off 10cms! Ouch! Had not had internal done and they did not think I was in established labour . Gas and air did wonderful tricks though and I was able to push little Benjamin out quite quickly. It was also great fun when they were repairing my second degree tear! Which is sore but manageable.

Home this afternoon with little Benjamin and a very pleased with himself DP. So far managing to breast feed ok and things are looking quite rosey in the the Flossam household this evening! So I am off to have a cuddle with Ben and DP before bed and hopefully get a bit of sleep!!

congratulations flossam
your labour sounds so like mine, only gas and air not thinking you were in laboue until 10cms even the second degree tear, don't worry they heal and everything will be the same afterwards, they are well worth it xx

Missed this but congratulations!

SweetKitty, your message intrigued me so I looked up your birth story and it was very similar!! Early birth, short first labour, midwifes thinking we are causing a fuss about nothing! Even down to the fact that Benjamin felt the need to wave on the way out which is what caused my stitches too! Still has to have that same hand out by his head at all times too, bless. Are you sure your not me?! Different sex babies though. Wow!

Just getting round to posting now. Many congrats Flossam on your early arrival, and welcome to little Benjamin. Get you with only gas and air at the end - very impressive!!
