hey people
on v slow patientline tthing

period-type cramps from 11pm
got some sleep
manageable 30s contractions 3min apart by 1.30am
woke dh 2.30
shower and dress
hospital by 4am
4.30 -2 and 3cm
5am politely requested pool
6am demanded pool
7am got in
7.35 'lets see how yooure doing.... oh theres the head'
8.05 head born with last contraction
8.09 mw hhoicks bodyout onto my chest
i bleeed spectacularly into pool
cord clamped and cut, spiked withsyntocinon, dh takes baby
i exit pool in trail of gore annd deliver placenta on bed
dh puts laura on my chest

rest is blur of jjoy tea andtoast

1 wk early
no intervention
no drugs
no contin monitoring
2cm tear 2 stitches only
fed well at 11 and again now
in till tomorrow am for anti coag injction

yah booo sucks to the stroppy high risk unit drs
hurrah for the mws
