Just a flying visit to let you know that our beautiful baby boy Tate Timothy was born last night (4th Sep) at 21.12. He is a gorgeous quiet little man and we could not be more ecstatic.

He weighed 8lbs5 (so much for the predictions that he would be huge) and measured 56cms.

I had a FANTASTIC labour - was started off with gel because my waters had been ruptured for more than 24hrs. When I got to 3cms they broke my waters and he was with us 3hrs16mins later. The midwife and DH were amazing, I laboured on the ball with Gas and Air and was still laughing between contractions at 8cms dilated.

From 8cms to birth wasn't so funny but absolutely worth it. This is one of the best days of my life...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Lovely news to come back from hol to. Was thinking of you (and feeling jealous too - not of the labour, but the imminent new arrival!). Hope you are feeling well now and little man is doing fine. Congrats again.

dejags · 24/09/2004 19:39

Thank you for all your messages - will print off this thread and keep it for our baby book.

Glad to say that things are going so well. I am loving being a mum to two lovely boys - both of them are doing brilliantly.

Tate is a sweet calm baby and I couldn't be happier!

Thanks again

Aw congratulations Dejags!! So happy for you!
