Hello all!
Just to let you know that I gave birth via a c/section on Tuesday 3rd February to a beautiful baby girl.
There is a bit of a long story involved so I will post more later if anyone wants the details.
Suffice it to say at the moment that she was a whopper at 10lbs and 10oz so there was NO way she was coming out the normal route!!!!
We are at home now and all is well ... I am totally in love with her, she is feeding beautifully (and I DO have enough milk!!!), I am feeling totally relaxed about it all, DS loves his baby sister, DH is besotted and is delighted that his wife is still smiling (unlike the last time!!)
Lots of love

Ghosty - congratulations. What fantastic news. Her name is lovely too. Congrats again

marthamoo · 09/02/2004 14:01

Ah well, perhaps she coud have Casparina as her second name ?
Abigail is lovely!
Know exactly what you mean about it making you feel a bit sad for what you didn't have with ds1 - try not to: it wasn't your fault; he doesn't know; and you can all be blissfully happy together this time around.

Take care xx

Abigail is on my list of names, grrrr

What a whopper 10lb 10! Wow. Thought my pudding of 9lb 10 was big!

I had a section and felt 'cheated' of the birth experience initially but now feel NO negative thoughts whatsoever, best wishes to you and your family.

Wonderful news and well done. Hope all three of you are recovering well from your respective experiences.

Huge congratulations, its great when you have a positive experience for your second birth after a bad first birth. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about mine. You made the right decision for you and your beautiful baby. Enjoy.

motherinferior · 10/02/2004 20:17

Yes, it's fantastic when the second one 'heals' a lot of the first, isn't it. Well done, babe.xxxxx

Britabroad · 11/02/2004 02:18

Formula in Nz...wow.
Heard of baby that nearly dehydrated in Christchurch cause they insisted mum kept breastfeeding even though baby struggling!!!!

Congratulations again, she is beautiful and going to be soooo tall as she is long with large feet already.
WE can all compare 2nd time around and I wish my DD had had same baby experiences as 2nd DS but cant change things and know you like me have a very happy complete family.
