I am finally back in the land of the living. I had a little baby boy last week - an accidental home birth in the end. I had planned to move to the hospital when the contactions were unmanageable so laboured at home for 7 hours with my beloved TENs machine. However near the end the contactions came hard and fast and I was pushing before I knew it. thanks goodness the midwife was able to make it to my house with 6 minutes to spare! I'd forgotten how painful labour is, but managed fine in the ned - thankfully I have no tears or any other damage.
We transferred to the hospital soon after though as the baby has a few problems (I might look for advise on this on another thread) and am just home now. DS1 is delighted with his brother and apart from the total exhaustion, I am delighted with my little family. :D
