Thanks everyon

Yes, it is for real - apart from the picture lower down : I'm not as furry and am not bottle feeding for a start! Proof should be the amount of posts I've made since Sunday! You can't see how gingerly I'm perched on one cheek at the computer.

Pupuce, I managed to get the community midwife who does waterbirth talks at Mayday so she was completely unfazed by having to do it alone - neither the second midwife or the student who wanted to see a home waterbirth made it in time! Seren is lighter than DS1 (who was 10lb 1oz) and heavier than DS2 (8lb 4oz) but she was bang on due date whereas DS2 was 2 weeks early...

NQC - the costume arrived this morning, together with the hat which, oddly enough, matches DD's () socks and is the right size for her

Hurrah for our lovely girls!

Is it not against the law to keep things like this secret?

Congratulations Soupy, I wouldn't have been able to keep stum for more than 5 minutes.

Oh my, congratulations Soupy. What an amazingly beautiful name. Hope you don't need to perch for too long .

BigHotMama · 08/02/2006 12:24

Just popped in from August 2006 thread and cant believe you kept it secret ... WOW fantastic news Soupy.
Was it your first waterbirth? and would you recommend it as I'm thinking of having one if possible on the day.

Congratulations! I am so glad I am not the only one who was gobsmacked. My first thought was ' I have GOT to start dedicating more time to mn if I missed this'. Beautiful names. Enjoy xx

NotQuiteCockney · 09/02/2006 06:48

I'm glad you like the hat, SD, and I was very happy to be able to give you a hat. I thought the triangles looked a bit scaly ...

I obviously don't pay attention ? nobody 'sounds' pregnant from their typing ? but CONGRATS, sounds like an ideal birth too. Love the name Marguerite especially.
