I have been asked to let you all know some really horribly sad news......

That on Monday 24th August at approximately 6pm TrinityRhino's wonderful husband was killed in a car crash.

He was working near Biggar in Scotland and was on his way home when his van and a 17-5 ton lorry collided.

Thankfully he was killed instantly and did not suffer although as you will all understand the family's suffering is on going

As many of you will know Trinity and I are really close friends and I feel as if my heart has been ripped out and have only now felt I was strong enough to post this for her (I wouldn't post without her permission) and can only imagine how she and her 3 little girls and her 2 stepsons are feeling

The world is most definately a worse place for the loss of this wonderful husband, dad & friend.

I hope that makes sense as I can hardly see the keys for tears

I don't post on mumsnet much these days but when I saw this terrible news I just had to send you and your family my condolences and strength in the days, weeks and months ahead, so very sorry for your loss xx

so sad, so so dreadfully sad. I'm so sorry, there are no words.

Trinity sends her thanks for all your kind thoughts, she tried to have a look at this thread earlier today but it just too soon.
