beloved FIL has just died...how do I help dh and ds ?

feeling a bit numb and at a loss as to what to do...ILs live up in E Midlands and we are in Hampshire ..he was a lovely,lovely man- I loved him and I'll miss him so.. how can I support my boys though ?

ah yes,thank you lottie - I have looked at Winston's Wish before ( was recommended to me for sibling bereavement) but thanks for suggestion

No probs... they have helped me tremendously with my ds when he lost his dad and grandad, i passed their details to a friend whos ex husband died (for their son) and recently to another friend who'd lost his mum for support for his children, i think what makes them so wonderful is that they cover the WHOLE country!

will see how ds gets on - really wish it had been around when I was young and lost my brother...the other site looks v good too,forgotten it's name - will check..you probably know already though!

thanks Wendy..I always take one of the three of them just before we leave - a kind of just -in-case thing as we don't live near them and not being morbid, but it occurs to me that this might be the last time kind of thing...so glad I took this!
