had a call from the French police an hour ago. They don't know when she died and I can't get hold of any family member because the whole of France is on holidays in August.

I don't know what to think.

ps I'm French living in London.

I am so very sorry.

Take care fo yourself. You have had a nasty shock You might not be feeling the full weight of it yet so so if you could have a friend with you this evening that might be a good idea.

Lots of love x

I'm so sorry

Where in France did your mum live? There may be some MNers nearby (or with family nearby) who could help out.

I'm French and don't live very far from London, so if there is anything i can do at all, just let me know.

What part of France does your family come from?

I'm so sorry to hear your news. My Mum (62) died this afternoon after being ill for a week - and although it hurts like hell, we were lucky that we could be there at her bedside as she took her last breath.

You must feel awful not knowing how this has happened, or why.

I send you and your family all my love and best wishes - we shall both have to do our best to get through this tough time.

Big hugs xxx

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 16/08/2008 22:23

So sorry, must be a really bad shock on top of the usual grief.

Sorry for your loss as well Drjoannac.
