My Mum died almost 14 years ago and I still miss her. Especially when something lovely has happened and I think I must tell Mum. Then almost as soon as I think it I realise I can't anymore. When my DD told she was pregnant I went to cemetery to tell my Mum.

Reading all these comments has brought back the pain of losing my mum so long ago. I have lived longer without her than with her. I am old and a grandmother but there are still times when I miss her and cry at a memory.

Love doesn't die, her love will always be with you and in time will comfort you.

OP you will find as time goes by you will be able to have moments or days when your sadness doesn't overwhelm you. In time you will be able to smile when you think of her and the good times you shared. It's an old cliché but time really is a healer. Allow yourself to grieve and talk about her.I promise you one day you will feel better and will be able to celebrate her life. The pain of loss will diminish
Sending you all the best
