Bereavement support for families when an adult with learning disabilities has died

Hi I'm a researcher trying to compile a list of support contacts for families when they have lost a family member who was an adult with a learning disability. I know the usual bereavement organisations but wonder if there are any specifically when the person who has died was an adult with a learning disability. Thank you in advance.

not strictly bereavement but Sibs charity offers emotional support to siblings of people with disabilities through every stage of life.

My beautiful son died in 2020 age 21, he was deafblind and had cerebral palsy. Sadly no support was given except by the ward who were fantastic.

I'm so sorry to hear that your beautiful son died. I'm glad the ward was supportive but it's sad that you were not offered more support. I'm getting a list together of organisations that offer counselling and other support. Please let me know if you would like me to share it with you. I may post it here for anyone who needs it. Thinking of you x

Yes please, it is too late for me but as I have many friends with disabled adult “children” it would be useful.
