Best flowers and plants for memorial stone

Hi all
Hope OK to post this here

I would like my mum's memorial to have colour all year round. Can only go about once a month

Was thinking of a mix of

  • planting bulbs to come up in spring in the front
  • some bright plastic flowers as realistic as possible
A plant or two Intermittent flowers

But can anyone suggest any particular types under these categories that last well/ look good or anything I have missed please?

TIA

Are there any cemetery restrictions? Some have rules about planting because of mowing. Assuming not primroses are hardy and flower fi4 a decent period in the spring. Pulmonaria blue ensign is also very pretty. Better something like that than bulbs I think.A lot of bulbs flower for a relatively short time and then look awful.
If there's room a salvia may flower for a long time through the year. I've got one that goes from May through to November but they can get quite big.

Just to say that the common primrose is both rabbit and deer resistant, so a good choice.

I hear what you're saying about bulbs, but daffodils are also resistant to being eaten - miniature daffies might work well.

Crocus and snowdrops from January, followed by daffs and tulips.

Forget me nots will self seed and be back

If you use pelagoniums in summer they will prob survive a month between watering if they're not in full sun (even if they are they're worth a try)

Maybe in autumn you could try the potted crysanths

Forget me nots are a good idea. So pretty and meaningful.
