Visiting DM’s grave

My lovely DM died a year ago and is buried some distance from where I live. When I visit I like to leave something but always feel guilty about leaving flowers that will just die. We planted some spring bulbs around the edge of her grave But would like some suggestions of what else I could take when I visit?

I do as you do with bulbs, then I put summer bedding plants in when it’s that time of year. Like you I’m not keen on leaving cut flowers, even though I live very locally to my parents’ grave

Summer flowering bulbs - something which flowers for ages? I have lots of different alliums in my garden, different heights and colours and an added bonus is that bees love them so your Mum will get lots of little visitors!

Your love and words spoken aloud which will be in the memory of the universe forever.

My grandmas grave isn't local to us but my mum and her siblings go 4 times a year and put tasteful artificial flowers that are seasonal too.
It always looks lovely and means they don't have to worry about nobody being local to take away old flowers etc
