Clearing house - what to do with masses of new clothing etc?

No idea if this is the right topic. A relative passed away. She was clearly a shopping addict. We're clearing her home and have found a large amount of unworn, new with tags and relatively recently purchased clothing, handbags, shoes, scarves and costume jewellery. All M&S, TU, Next, Roman, Klass and small boutique stuff. There's also lots that has been worn maybe once. We're giving the rest of the more worn clothing which is more worn to charity. The huge pile of barely worn underwear is going to clothes recycling. But what can we do with the new stuff? There's way too much for any of us relatives to sell on Vinted and to store meantime at our homes which aren't local to our late relative's. Would resellers be interested and how do I find them please?

You could put it as a bundle on Facebook marketplace for someone to collect?

Why can't you give it to charity? If not a shop then to eg a women's shelter?

There is a charity that provides clothes for women going to interviews who might not be able to afford a smart outfit

Otherwise a shelter, homeless charity - my SIL used to run a retirement faciilty and she said some referrals came to her with almost literally nothing, so any donations were gratefully received (we gave her DM's clothes, she was in Australia, though).

Take them back to the relevant shops. The bigger shops will usually give you a voucher to spend on something else if you don't have a receipt.

Barely used underwear can go to the Smalls for All Charity

If you’re not desperate for the extra money and are short on time / energy then Women's hostels and local charities would be thrilled to receive the rest of it I would imagine.

I've got the horrible heartbreaking task of emptying my mum's house this weekend 😢.
She has wardrobes full
Of unworn expensive clothes and I've arranged for a charity to come to her house and take them all. Wardrobes tables ornaments electricals the lot.
Losing her was traumatic but if at least one person will receive something I've donated and it puts a smile on their face then I know my mum will be looking down and smiling knowing I've spread a little joy on her behalf x

Well done @eatdrinkandbemerry. It’s such a tough time and horrible thing to have to do, but if something good can come from it then that’s all we can hope for xx
