DH Grandad's funeral is next Wednesday. DH wants a Teddy from the GGC and 'Grandad' from us and BIL and wife.

I've had a look and I thi nk we're looking at spending about £300 between our two families.

It's not a great time for us to outlay this money, but I am not denying DH anything for his Grandad, who was such a lovely man.

Can anyone please recommend floristery companies which have given excellent service with reasonable prices.

And please let me know any to steer clear of.

Thanks

I can't help with the florists, but when our grandparents died, we always did a rose, one white one from each great grandchildren and a pink one from each grandchild. it looks really lovely.

Thanks Tufty, someone else has also mentioned a similar tribute. I must admit it sound lovely.

But DH, like me when my mum died wants everyone who sees the hearse to know it was his Grandad - which I can understand.

We spoke to his brother last night about how much the flowers cost and it's a bit of a struggle for us all, but as said before I dont believe in denying anyone anything when it comes to grieving so we will manage if that's what he wants.

DH has also looked at the Gates of Heaven arrangement as well now and perhaps a star from the great rgandchildren, as I think that is also fitting. DD has been told now Great grandad has died, he is in the sky and looking after us.

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but could you have a go at making it yourself, perhaps your children could help, it would be more personal.

I personally would hate someone to spend that much money on flowers for me.

sorry for your loss
