Waiting after m/c...

Hi there. I know it can take up to 6 weeks after a m/c to get the next period, but would that be 6 weeks from when the m/c started or finished? It's 4 weeks today since my m/c started and I'm getting impatient for my period to start.

MsG

Sorry for your loss.

I don't know, but from my own experience i had a missed miscarriage at 10 weeks.

I bleed on and off for 3 weeks then 2 weeks later i had my period.

Hi MsG, I would have thought it would be from when it started (same as start of cycle is when period starts, not finishes?) but that's only my own assumption.
I can relate to what you are going through but I am even more impatient than you (maybe that'll make you feel better) and despite advice I got from quite a few people (although not my GP which said nothing regarding TTC after my ERPC) and I didn't wait for my AF but started BDing last week as I got a smiley face on my OPK.
I am now hoping that I might be pregnant but it might be a long shot.

I have heard of loads of people who got pregnant the first month of trying after first AF after MC so I am keeping my fingers crossed that this happens to you too!

i started counting my cycle from day one of my mc (it was induced with tablets and i bled for week and a half) i had af 31 days later which is normal for me though af its self was strange. 5 weeks after af i am pregnant again so may well have to agree with the fertility thing. i took 4 mths to concieve with my last planned pg, though i have had two accidental ones. So good luck ladies and i hope you get those bfps soon

I think I have got my period! It's very light but it must be it as I had PMT and it's 5 weeks today since my m/c started.

I just feel a bit odd as it's lighter than usual.
