Has anyone done this or had experience of this. There seems to be only few places doing this there seems to be a big gap in the prices either quite expensive or cheaper.

Who did you use and why and what did you choose?

Two of my friends have used Ashes to Glass and both are thrilled with the results. I particularly love the ring
The customer service is fantastic apparently.

I used ashes into glass. I read so many reviews and they were all positive. I really read up on them and they seemed great. When i got my ring I scratched it when moving some bricks,i was gutted and asked if they'd be able to sort it and I'd obviously pay as it was my fault. They fixed it for free and returned for free. A year or so later I noticed water droplets inside, like condensation. Again I emailed them and they fixed it for free. I'd highly recommend them from my experience.

I also used ashes into glass. excellent service. I was afraid that the ashes would get mixed up with some one else's but the man assured me it's all done very professionally in separate cubicles. If you live nearby you can go and watch the process.
I had a ring and mum had a paperweight, they are lovely.

I also used ashes into glass to make a necklace and earrings with my DM's ashes. She died 3 months before my wedding, so the necklace was my something blue and she was with me all day.

The jewellery is beautifully made, and they return any unused ashes to you.

Their Facebook page has lots of great photos of the jewellery and great reviews

Thanks for your replies Smile

Hi, I know I'm late, but I also used Ashes to Glass. I bought the necklace and it's really special. Would definitely recommend xx

Kelly199 · 18/02/2019 22:18

Also (more of a meaning behind it), it was for my fathers ashes..he passed away when I was 19. I bought the necklace in Blue, so it will be my 'something blue' when I hopefully get married one day.
All the items are beautiful, but my sister and I both had the necklaces and they are really lovely xx

MsSquiz · 19/02/2019 10:48

@Kelly199 I did that with my necklace using my Mam's ashes. It was so lovely having her close to my heart, there all day and in every single photo

Kelly199 · 19/02/2019 12:11

@MsSquiz that's so lovely. Nice to have it close, I love mine x

I’ve used asheswithart before. I didn’t have jewellery made, I went for wall art instead (the glass seascape). I love it. Beautiful and meaningful. I’m likely to lose a piece of tiny jewellery but the art gives me pleasure every day.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 19/02/2019 13:34

Thanks ladies x

Hi

I know its personal but I submitted an order today. However I am concerned about colour choice.

Would anyone who had jewellery made with Ashes to Glass mind submitting a pic of their jewellery? I'm ordering one for my relative and so so unsure (the colour choices arent something I'd usually go for). I've been on the website and facebook but there are no pics of white/clear jewellery id love to know if it had a sparkle to it. So unsure what to get my relative. Love the idea of something blue for wedding day as i marry soon but blue isnt my colour. I'm happy with my colour choice though.

Thanks

Mine is the purple x

BlindyPeakers · 11/06/2019 10:41

Would anyone mind proving a web link? There are loads of companies with very similar names! Ashes to Glass seems to be on Etsy only, and there is also Ashes into Glass.

Thanks

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 11/06/2019 10:57

It's ashes into Glass

Oh that's lovely it looks black on that pic.

Does anyone have a clear one?

Do the ashes sparkle in the light?

MrsAitch13 · 11/06/2019 11:04

To be honest, although I've had it for a couple of months, today is our silver wedding anniversary and the first day I've worn it properly. They don't sparkle but it's like looking at stars in the sky.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 11/06/2019 11:07

I used Ashes into Glass for DH's ashes. I'm really pleased with it - I went for green because all the jewellery he bought me was emerald. It's duller than on the website, but I like it. The ashes don't sparkle. The ring is quite heavy and feels nice and comfortable, although it's now a bit loose because I've lost weight. I went for the white gold option and ordered it through the funeral director, who didn't charge any commission and dealt with everything, ringing me when it was ready to collecI've tried posting a pic but it won't let me.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 11/06/2019 12:15

I've ordered black for me but clear for my relative as she prefers neutral colours. I'm just worried it won't show up as much.

I dont know what colour is choose for her though. I'd pick pink but purple isnt her really

Ive message but they only have one pic and I'm still not sure.... she asked for black but I wouldn't have had her down as black although she doesn't know what its for and asked me to pick.

I'm nervous.

I'm.also nervous she may be cross ive done this but my mum said we could do this.

I've got a green paperweight and red ring. both beautiful but the ring doesn't sparkle, like someone says it's like stars in the sky.
I can't remember seeing a clear one.
The items are really well made and the customer service is excellent.

RainyDaysandTuesdays · 12/06/2019 11:30

I'm.sure the clear one is lovely. you will be able to see see the ashes. I imagine they will look like stars. you can see in my paperweight the ashes show up against the clear bits of glass.

TheRealHousewifeofCheshire · 12/06/2019 21:33

I cant see the ashes in the clear bits... sorry perhaps it's because i dont know what im looking for Xxxx its beautiful Thank you for sharing

I used Chris Parry. He made one ring out of mine and DH's wedding rings with a glass bead containing the ashes. I can't remember how I found him, but I know I did a huge amount of obsessive research,

MsSquiz · 12/06/2019 22:38

This is the necklace I had made by ashes into glass with my DM's ashes.
I think the ashes stand out quite silvery against the blue, but they don't sparkle

I am now considering getting a paperweight with more of her ashes, as I've not long found out I'm pregnant and would like to have something of hers in the nursery. (Not sure on the colour yet)
