Sorry, no where else to put this, feel free to ignore.

Mum, it would have been your 51st birthday today, I just want to let you know that there still isnt a day goes by that I dont think about you, and wish you were still with us.

Jessi has gone from the 2 week old baby you last saw her as to a very grown up 2.6yr old little girl, she is like both of us in more ways than I like to admit, but is a real ray of sunshine, you would be so proud of her.

Becca is coming on in leaps and bounds, I know you never saw her, but I hope you are watching over us all and can see she is your double, the lovely red hair, and cheeky grin, a real little charmer!

Dad is doing well, he is coming over today to be with us all, and I am making sure he is looking after himself, he is of course throwing himself into work, as only he knows how, but is getting back to his old self.

Iain and Helen are happily married in their own house, no babies as yet, but im sure in time, they will be the best parents. They are fantastic with the girls, love them to bits and do anything they can for them. You would be so pleased.

Anyway, thats enough rambling on, I just want to tell you I love you, I miss you and I hope you are proud of us.

Happy Birthday Mum xxxxxxxx

A lovely post. Having lost both my parents I know how you feel. I believe she's watching over you all and is a guardian angel for your girls.

Elasticwoman · 13/02/2007 23:23

JARM how sad that your mother died so young.
And that you had a new baby when she died.
Who mothers the mother?

JARM Thinking of you.

It was so lovely to read your lovely words to your mum.
I'm sure she's watching over you and your family all the time.

CocoLoco · 13/02/2007 23:57

Oh that made me cry. Your enduring love for your mum is so clear from that post.

Will be posting something similar myself in a couple of weeks, if I can find the right words.

schneebly · 14/02/2007 00:08

awww JARM! What a lovely post I have lost my mum too (she would have been 48 this year) I feel sad that she is not here to experience her grandchildren but I enjoy memories of her every day. Bless you and your family. I hope you have many wonderful memories of her to bring a smile. xxx

JARM · 15/02/2007 08:35

awwww thanks guys.

Needed to take a little step back after writing it, its just so god damn unfair!

My dad is an absolute rock to me, so its not as if I have no-one, but at the time she died, it was as if I had to keep going for Jessica, I have still never really grieved as such, and I know one day it will come and bite me in the bum!

So sorry to all of you who have also lost loved ones, words just arent enough sometimes.

Also sorry to all those I made cry - i didnt mean to xxx
