This is going to be my 2nd Mothers Day without Mum. Her 1st Anniversary was a week ago so I am still feeling fragile from that.
Added to it I am pregnant and we plan to tell dc and in laws on Sunday.
Just feeling like its all goint to be too much to deal with. I am sure I will be fine and will put on a brave face for dc in particular but I am also worried I may lose it.
DH has even brought Aunty and Grandma cards for his mum and sister to be given out with scan picture.!!!!!

I do agree with Ruby, but I would add that if you do have a cry don't worry about it, I'm sure everyone will understand. Although they will be concerned about you so just say something like "I was just thinking of my lovely mum, don't worry I'll be fine in a minute"

You could also get some flowers to remember your Mum on Sunday. And don't be afraid to tell everyone they are her flowers. I do this for my Dad on Father's day.

Congratulations on the baby Smile

((hugs)) this will be my third mothers day without my mum. Not sure if DH has planned anything (probably not as he is pretty shit at thinks like that) but all I want to do is drive over to her grave (not local) and put some flowers on it.

Your mum will be looking down watching over you and would be so pleased about your new baby x

Thank you. Well I survived it. I didn't get upset which I suppose is good.

Well done scarborough. I think it's nice for you to do something for her on the day, get some flowers, even if you don't put them on her grave, maybe make a little tradition of it? And remember, you are a Mum too, so be sure you get some tlc too!

Glad you got through it ok Scarborough. I went over to mum's grave on Saturday afternoon instead of yesterday. Thought as she was irish and it was St Patricks day that would be ok Grin DD (aged 5) came to the florists with me and she chose a beautiful big basket of flowers and very proudly carried them and put them on nannies grave. DS (aged 3) kissed the flowers and said hello to nanny and grandad which I thought was really sweet. I think each year will get easier and I found myself thinking of happy memories of mum yesterday
