He was old, I'll but was up a ladder pruning a fruit tree, fell off and sustained a bad head injury, only my db was able to get to him in time at hospital. Feel numb and empty, I am here with my mum.

Just an awful awful day of not being able to get anywhere fast enough.

Haven't eaten since yesterday lunch time Feel sick and can't swallow need to be strong

Sounds like you had as good a day as you could have yesterday Kingfisher

  • and that was so thoughtful of you to dig over the flowerbed near where your Dad fell. That must have been really difficult for you emotionally too. I hope I'd have the presence of mind to do that for my Mum and Sis too in your shoes.

Sorry you're missing your DH and DS. Sounds like a good idea to be with your family (Mum etc.) until a date has been arranged. Then perhaps get back to your DH and DS in a few days time.

Glad it's been some help to you here. Love to you and all your family x
Will be thinking of you today too.

Thank you for your thoughts, it's so intense here understandably, and a little I limbo until we have a date....
X

Sounds like it might be good to make sure you find some space and time for yourself in between talking with and supporting each of the people in your family

  • like you did last night (when you said you "didn't want to talk anymore") - and you've said it's all quite emotional and intense. Sounds like you need some space, calm, and quiet to me if you can find some. Perhaps you could get out for a walk at some point today to give yourself some breathing space. Take care x

Good idea on the walk. It is the most glorious day here.
Db coming over shortly to talk about the funeral, so maybe later

Lovely and bright here too. Hope you can get out for a bit at some point while the sunshine lasts Smile
