SPECIAL BABY UNIT babies. Are they more clingy?????

My baby was in the SBU for about a week after she was born. She is very clingy and cannot be left on her own for one minute before she starts to cry.

My theory is that it must be traumatic to be seperated from your Mummy so soon after being born and she now has a strong sense of abandonment when left alone. Has anyone else experienced this?

My baby was taken straight from me, i got tpo hold her for a short while but she spent first night and day in Intensive care and then a week in Special care. She's not at all clingy. She's a mummy's girl, and obviously adores me, but she'll go yo anyone, never cried when I leave her and is a totally unclingy and confident, socialable 3.5 yr old, always been the same.
