Wordy children

Does anyone else have a very wordy small child?

I know it's not a sign of her being clever, just that she happens to have picked up words quickly, but it is getting quite embarrassing

EG i asked her if she could sit and play with a toy in the bathroom while I had a quick shower.

"Possibly Mummy, but I might get distracted"

She is 3.3...

Or, when playing kings and queens:

"Our current queen's son is called Charles the third"

She's like a little old woman!

Mine is just like that "I am trying to think why that would be but cannot understand why"

She was responding to our refusal for her having a second serving of ice-cream!

She will be 3 in September.

Mine has totally memorised Wimbledon. In his defence they have been laid in front of it as illness pervades the house.
We popped out to the shops boy (3.3) for a few supplies. I asked my teen Ds1 to tape the Pironkova Williams quarter final.
We got delayed and match was over swiftly and the news was on the car radio. I didn't hear it but ds chipped up
" mummy Pironkova beat Venus I think Clijsters might not win now too"
get thee to William Hill I said

My DD just the same at that age e.g 'I don't want to discuss different vehicles at the moment' She enjoys new words and the sounds they make and it is one of the few things that she wants to be corrected on to get the sound or meaning right.
Apart from that, she can be a full on nightmare and is not particularly bright in other ways. Just normal. What a great skill it is to have for us mums though as it gives plenty of laughs and food for thought when your words come back to you!
