Daydreaming

My son has turned into a daydreamer at school and doesn't listen to what the teacher is saying - any ideas/advice on how to rectify this matter?

Encourage him to sit at the front of the classroom -he'll be less likely to get distracted if he's closer to the teacher.
If it doesn't improve it might be worth getting his hearing checked by your GP or HV - apparently boys are prone to slight hearing problems as they grow up because their bodies can't keep pace. Not to scare you, but it would maybe reassure you that there's nothing seriously wrong.

my son has always been on a different planet from mere mortals its so much more exciting in there than out here! some times as i am talking i know he is not listening

agree with bobsmum

even ask him what you should do - if he is old enough - my son said that he should sit on his own so he would get things done - voila - he has his own desk!
