As title says should we drop dream feed as it seems to disturb DD and see when she wakes instead? She's 24 weeks (20 weeks correct) and 11lb 5 - she always seems to wake around 4/5 am expecting food.

Opinions welcome please.

I dropped the dream feed at about 6-7 mths (not sure what that is in weeks) but it coincided with upping the meals to three a day during weaning. I was 'waking' DS and he was drinking less and less milk at that feed and taking longer to settle back to sleep so he kind of just dropped it himself.

We dropped it about 20 weeks iIrc as DS was so sleepy he was only managing a couple of ounces. It did mean a feed anywhere between 2.30 and 4.30 but he was waking after the failed dreamfeed anyway.

I guess what I'm suggesting is to do what your DD seems to be suggesting. If it doesn't work it doesn't mean you can't go back or tweek til you get it right.
