Audio books for toddlers

Hi,

Can anyone recommend any good children's stories CDs/audiobooks for younger children. We have In the Night Garden on CD which my son absolutely loves and I would like to get him a few more. When I was young, there was Story Teller which was a collection of stories and songs (over about 20 tapes) and I remember how much I enjoyed listening to them.

Any recommendations would be great!

Thanks

How old is your child? Mine enjoyed the Charlie and Lola ones and Harry and the Bucketload of Dinosaurs when they were 3-4 years old - they liked looking at the pictures while listening. Winnie the Pooh and Winnie the Witch were also popular.

DS has been listening to audio books in the car since he turned 3 or there abouts. We dived straight in with Winnie the Pooh and some Rold Dahl ( enormous crocodile, Giraffe the Pelly and Me) have added others from library and bought some. Generally hes Ok listening to stuff that is older than I would read to him.
Harry and the Dinosaurs is good, Dr Suess on CD is good. have a nose in the library and see what they have. Some charity shops will have a box of the "free on front of a newspaper" CD books for just a donation of few pence.

A pingu audio book? How's that work, then? Is it all in Pingu language?

DD has been listening to stories at bedtime on CD since she was 2 (we do read to her too! This is after the whole bed routine thing, and when she's on her own). She likes Winnie the Witch, Paddington, The Gruffalo's child, The Big Mog CD, Nursery Tales narrated by Victoria Wood, Willo the Wisp and many others.

DS like the Walt Disney books with CDs (from WH smith) we have Peter Pan, Finding Nemo and another one I can't remember what it is. Nemo is in American english, and Peter Pan in English english. We have a series of books including Dazzling Diggers, Amazing Airplanes, and a few others, that came with CDs the DSs love them. But they are short stories, where as Peter Pan is over 20 minutes.

We have a free Peter Rabbit and Paddington Bear CD of stories from newspapers which DS aged 4 loves, along with any others from books he has (Harry and the Dinos, Little Red Train ones are fun too). Also just recently bought him the Naughty Little Sister stories on CD as he loves those - great fun by the way and all short stories. Our's listen to them in the car. Not sure if that helps

Another vote for Tiger Who Came To Tea - it's the most popular request by 2.5yr old currently. Other popular titles currently are: Hungry Caterpillar, Gruffalo, E-i-o (by which he means the soundtrack to Makaton Nursery Rhymes DVD)

At 2, my DS LOVED the Kipper stories on CD, read by Dawn French. We had Kipper's A to Z on one CD, and a couple of other CDs with 4 or 5 other stories. He also loved The Tiger Who Came to Tea, and was rather obsessed with a BBC CD called Teddy Bear Tales.

My DS is 2.5 and loves The Pig in the Pond and Gorilla, both read by Harry Enfield. We have the books and the CDs were at the back of them.
On a recent holiday 5 hours away, we got bored of listening to these two over and over so we've now got Kipper and Spot which have gone down very well.
