I am really shattered. My son falls asleep at about 9:30 every evening - at least we have a bath/breastfeed/bed routine now - and will sleep for about 2 or 3 hours solid. Then the 90-minute cycles begin. He will sleep for about 90 minutes, then wake up and want a feed. It's easier to express breastmilk and give it to him in a bottle than to move him from his cot (shoved up beside my bed) into bed and feed him and return him... but that is not good enough for him! I think he wants a cuddle as well as a feed. So anyway, he is eating every 90 minutes, 2 hours if I'm lucky, all night long, so that by 6 am when he is really awake, I'm really, really tired and don't always get to catch up when he takes a nap.
For example, today during his 1-3 nap he just wouldn't sleep, though I could tell he was tired. He just wouldn't eat, though I could tell he was hungry. He just got more and more wound up, which is not like him at all. He is normally a sunny, happy, engaging baby who is very alert and well, happy. What is happening?
He had all the signs of teething about a month ago, but no teeth appeared and the signs have gone... except for him putting his fingers in his mouth and his teething ring constantly.
Any advice? Any very, very knackered and at my wits' end.
