my 3rd baby is 3 weeks old. he reeeally suffers with his tum.you see the pain cross his little face and then he screams, and then farts like mad, screaming all the while!

he settles for 5-10 mins, then it all starts again. unless he's feeding..he's suffering.(now he's started being sick after feeds,am tinking he's being over fed..but it's the only comfort for him)

so that means i'm having barely any sleep at all.
i've got to others (2 and 4)and although i know most knew mums are exhausted...i'm on my knees..i don't even seem to get a full hours sleep.

i've tried infacol, bringing his knees up and down, massaging his feet.....any other ideas?!!

thanks.i spoke to h.v who used to be a paediatric nurse..she had a look at him and found he had oral thrush and on his bot.
maybe causing some discomfort
also on my nips..thought they were getting sore, but assumed was because he is constantly attached!

she also assured me it's not relux, just bad wind and that i should stop eating tomatos (which i eat daily at the moment)and pineapple,re-introducing them when his system is more hardy.

she also told me that they hated being swaddled the way i was doing it ie arms accross body, and instead much prefer to have their hands near their faces to self soothe.i tried this and lo and behold...it seeeeeeeeems to be working (famous last words?!)
praying it will work tonight, which is really the test.
so cream and drops to sort the thrush, and the other techniques in place...we shall see! thanks for all those who took the time to advise me

try adding another milk he may also be hungry. I am not a great believer in "reflux" as so many children have these days why isn't the medical profession doing something about it.. when my grandson was changed to proper baby soy milk he was a different child. also lay baby slightly on his side can be done with towel rolled up down his back with him leaning into it. It really does help to be on the side slightly if you do have heartburn, indigestion! good luck
