Tantrums at 8 months

My angelic daughter has turned into the antichrist almost overnight.

does anyone have tips on dealing with tantrums at this age? I really didnt expect them so early.

This behaviour is surfacing when:
she is removed from exciting electrical wires and sockets,
she is put into her carseat or buggy,
we try to settle her for bed,
we are evil and try to give her a drink (either formula or water),
we are even more evil and try to allow her to eat dinner in her own time(we follow BLW)

I'm told this is just a phase and with many instances I just ignore her screaming, hitting and flailing but when it comes to the carseat and buggy its not really appropriate to ignore her, especially when embarking on a time limited journey - the sooner they invent roof-rack carseats the better!

Anyone have any advice that doesnt involve gaffa tape?

can help with the car seat/buggy because my dd screamed constantly in both it's a wonder i didn't have a major accident in the car (although i did knock the wing mirror off).

For the buggy does she have a toy ELC do a very good driver toy. For the car have you tried nursery rhyme songs (drive you mad but much better than the screaming.

The rest she will grow out of. My mantra 'it's just a phase'

driver toy can be used on a car seat as well

I shall head off tomorrow to find the driving toys. Now to get her to sleep!
