hi,If any1 has time could you just write me a list of what your he does, please.

Pretty sure mine is on course with everything.

Dresses self

plays happley alone or in groups
shares(most of time)

asks the relivent questions

can write his name and other small words and most letters and numbers

knows the maths signs and can add small and take away small numbers.

goes to bed fine and sleeps all night

likes school and gets the 'being friends' that they learn once at school.

In general really independent.

knows wrong from right.

Makes letter sounds fine.

is interested in learning bout most things, has a short attention span most of time though.

Reading these back, think i just asked a daft question, but wen he was 4 the school thought he was maybe on the autisic spectrum/asd.

but there worrys seem to decrease with time,so i suppose this question is just to keep my worries in check, thanks

Yes, mine was quite similar at that age. And he was very sweet

My DD is 5 in a couple of weeks but not yet at school (Scotland). She can do most of the things you've listed apart from the maths and writing anything other than family names, love and random groups of letters. He sounds just fine to me TBH - most have a short attention span at that age I think.

Yep sounds about right
Can I also add:
Climbs
Cannot walk has to jump bounce run etc
Spins on his head
Plays football
Toilet skills need to be worked on (dh dept)
Tells lies
Only listens when he wants to
and wipes my kisses off his face
but then reminds me to kiss him when I forget?

My 5 yr old has Asperger's.

The things he struggles with on your list are sharing (he is very controlling and possessive over 'his' toys, games etc) and knowing how to sustain friendships (he is very popular - a bit of a class clown - but his controlling behaviour means he is yet to really develop any proper, one-to-one friendships).

Your DS sounds just fine

Your DS sounds great to me, my 5 year old DS sounds about the same apart from the dressing bit, would probably put pants on his head and gloves on his feet but that's down to him thinking that's funny. He was also considered to be on the autistic spectrum a few years ago but thank the Lord he isn't, turns out he is just a bit of a 'character' and has no interest in doing what the 'experts' think he should (I blame his father!!) Don't worry, enjoy him!!!
