Television at 3 months

Hello, I'm new to motherhood and have a very sweet natured happy daughter, 13 weeks. I saw an old topic on here about television being linked to ADHD! My DD is happy to have Waybuloo on in the background for about 20mins a day, sometimes more. I pop her in her bouncy chair whilst I tidy up.

I wish I could say she was happy just watching me, but she seems to get bored quite easily.

Does anyone know more about the link to ADHD - I've not heard of it, but would def stop the TV if there is a link - it's quite scary isn't it!!

I think it has to be for an hour or more before there are any possible links to ADHD. Even then, at this age, she is more just watching the colours, shapes and enjoying he music, how is that different to a mobile or a baby projector light thingy.

As long as she has plenty of contact with you and lots of verbal communication, she'll be fine. Nothing would have got my ds to sit in a bouncy chair happily at that age but if the tv would have worked you can bet your life I'd have used it!

As long as you don't rely on it too much as she grows up and wants to interact more. I let my ds watch 20 mins in the morning and 20 minutes after tea and that's it but he's 2.8 and I think this is the age when it is more vital to get them involved with you and less engaged with the tv.

As long as it's in moderation and you are reading, talking, showing her what you're doing most of the day then I am sure it's fine.
