Really worried, have you ever heard of an "emotional health team"

Friend of mine has a 6 year old.
They have been called in by the school head, and 3 teachers who have an issue with their childs behaviour.
They are sending the "emotional health team" to their house to meet parents and assess the emotional health of the child.
Ive never heard of this, have you?

Some CAMHS teams - child and adolescent mental health teams - have been renamed emotional health and wellbeing teams. Makes no sense to me because no-one will understand who they are. anyway, maybe it's that.

Ooh possibly, yes.

But why would they need to see a 6 year olds home?
What are they suspecting is the matter with the child?

They don't need to suspect anything very dreadful to want to have a look at a child, and often it is going to be much easier, more convenient and give them a better idea of things to see the child in her own environment than to drag her across town to the local hospital or wherever they may have their clinic.

I've had them round and found them very helpful. They are sorting out counselling, and helping me to deal with ds' doctors (for his physical health as well) and liaising with the school and generally making themselves useful.
