Excessive posseting

I'm started to get concerned about my 7.5 month old DS and the amount of times that he brings up milk / food flavoured liquid. It's always been quite a lot but seemed to be in line with the other babies I know his age. However, in the last six weeks or so, since weaning, it just seems to be getting more and more and I'm now worried that this isn't normal and that there's something wrong. Basically he will posset around 40 temes a day, ranging from little dribbles to larger mouthfuls. It gets absolutely everywhere and is really difficult to cope with when we're out!
It doesn't trouble him in the slightest - he's a really content baby and never seems in distress or discomfort. He's gaining weight well too.
Is this normal??? Or do you think I should seek help? I really really want it to stop now - for him and for me! Thanks.

Hi, my ds was also like this and as pp said, it started to get better once he was about 13 months and walking everywhere. However, he is now 17 months and still a sicky child in that he'll perhaps be sick everywhere once a week or once a fortnight for no apparent reason at all! I asked so many times about it but doctor and hv just kept saying that as he's not in discomfort and clearly putting on weight etc, not to worry. So I've given up asking but hoping that he grows out of it soon! My first child was not a sicky baby at all. Good luck.
