My child is having a tantrum WWYD

I guess it should have gone in WWYD, but its also a behaviour thing.

DD asked me if I wanted a glass of milk, i absentmindedly said 'yes' because, well i wasn't really listening tbh . So when dh told her he was going to make a coffee she got all upset and said 'mama wants milk!' so i said 'oh yes i did didn't i? ok only a small glass though'.

Now, DH gave her the milk to give to me, both stood next to me, and she almost spilled it so DH said 'oh let me take that' and took it from her and passed it to me 'are you going to share with me pavlovsgirl?' 'YOOOOOOU gave it to mama, not me! I wanted to give it to her, i wanted to give it to her, YOU gave it to her!

Now she is in hysterics in the front roon, desperately upset.

Now, should we let her get over it, or give the milk to DH to give to her to give me to me, to calm it all down (which it will instantly?) Or is that Giving In?

driedapricots sorry you had such a horrid day too. Its awful to feel anything negative towards our babies isn't it? But perfectly normal. How has she been today? I felt the tantrums when DD was 2, were more manageable, or rather, less frequent. She seems to have bypassed the terrible twos, gave us false hope for avoiding and went straight in for the 'threenager' period!

DD has a cold. I think this had a lot to do with it, the next day she had a snotty nose and was much better, but not the best in the world mood wise, although nothing like the day before. This morning, she got up with me (er, well, i had been up since 1am and DH slept in, DD, DS and I went out for early breakfast at 7am, did a little shopping, came home, had pain au chocolat with DH, then watched the magic roundabout snuggled in a large wooly blanket. She was in the best mood I have seen for ages, and it was a pleasure. Still had to tell her a million times to do something/not to do something, but all done with happiness and smiles, not desperation and despair at a tantrum.
