Just wondering how long your toddler plays with one toy? Mainly my LO will go from one toy to another. If something takes his interest he will play for about 15-20 minutes, but never much longer than that. How about your? Does this sound about "normal"? Or does your toddler play with toys much longer?

I think 15-20 minutes is really good going - my DD is 2.10 and I would say sometimes one thing would capture her attention for that long but often it's case of flitting from toy to toy and asking me to start another activity when we've only just begun one she asked for before....aggghhhhh...tiring....Apparently (according to a psychology course I undertook recently) adults really only have a 'proper' concentration span of 40mins and need breaks after that - so I really wouldn't think you have anything to worry about.

Childrens concentration is 'supposed to be' their age plus 2 minutes on an adult directed task, e.g. if you want to do painting with your child.
And around 10-15 minutes for entry school age children (5yrs) on an activity of their own choosing, so the length of an episode of Chuggington.
I can't remember where I read that, years ago, I used to work in the field before I became a mum. If you are desperate I can search for the reference so you can read the book for yourself.
