ermm when do I panic?

Is it just me that thinks 7pm is too late for a four year old?

They promised to be back at six and I can't contact the person they are with although I don't believe for a second that she would do anything to them.

What should I do?

I'm getting a little bit worried now to say the least

You should make sure you can contact the person who has your child.

Can you go round the house?

mummyindisguise · 21/02/2010 19:35

Do you think they may have stopped off for an impromptu meal? Had you prepared dinner or were you expecting them to be returned fed? Perhaps the restaurant is noisy and they cant hear the phone and dont realise the time?

mixedraceparents · 21/02/2010 19:36

I've not got this mob no. but they do live next door!

Are they with someone you know well - could you contact their partner?

aoifesmama · 21/02/2010 19:37

I think they're probably stuck in traffic if they're not back at their home too.

mixedraceparents · 21/02/2010 19:37

It's possible they are stuck in traffic although ds1 said very firmly that he would be back at six

A bit early to panic yet. It may that they are just delayed in traffic or if they were perhaps going to the cinema they missed the earlier film. Lots of reasons...I'm often running late.

Is there anyone else you can contact that may be able to contact the person who took your children out?

Hope they're back already.

truthisinthewine · 21/02/2010 19:40

If they live next door why not just go round? Or have they gone out for the day?

mixedraceparents · 21/02/2010 19:53

nope still not back bedtime is at eight im starting to worry they've been in an accident or something

Do you know where she planned to take them?

If she has children of her own does she let them stay up later?

Any thoughts on how you could get her mobile - someone else at school or another neighbour she is friendly with?

aoifesmama · 21/02/2010 20:00

Feeling for you MRP...let us know when they return.

mixedraceparents · 21/02/2010 20:16
