4 month old mischief at feeding time

My 4 month old DS who has always had a good appetite has over the last week really started playing up at feeds - flailing arms, hiding behind his bib & giggling away. Whilst its charming feeds are now taking twice as long & he's rarely finishing a bottle. Anyone have any ideas why this might be? He's also taken to rubbing/flicking the teat on his gums so not sure if it might be down to him teething although no sign of any baby pearly whites yet. Thanks

He seems happy enough and he is enjoying his mealtimes which should be a happy relaxed time...imo go with it...just allow yourself extra time..he is experimenting with new skills. If you feel he is a little too over stimulated at mealtimes, make them incredibly relaxed...talk really quietly and softly to calm the atmosphere down but it sound as though you just have a happy and quite forward little chap!

babies are born without knowledge of the world ; he is just experimenting enjoying the feelings of the teat and that he CAN throw out his arms; he's just growing up (it goes on for a long time!!!)
