Just hoping someone can give me some advice I am a Mum of 3 Lovely Children living in a 2 bed house, my girls share a bedroom and my baby boy who is 10 months is in with me and my husband. My Problem is my little one keeps waking up for feeds between 4 and 8 times a night, he also feeds in the day about 8 times and has 3 large meals, he has been waking in this pattern from 8 months and was originally sleeping through from 5 weeks, I have tried to leave him to cry but find it difficult to ignore as he is next to me in his cot, and his crying distrubs my girls and the neighbours and my Husband does not appreciate being woken up!! Unfortunatley not having a bigger house I cannot put him elsewhere and use techniques such as controlled crying!! Throughout the day he is very contented so the lack of sleep dosent seem to be affecting him, however he will have a 2 hour nap during the day, Any solution would be very well recived! Thank you Juliet

I have a 2 bed flat and my son at one point used to be transferred into a travel cot in the living room as we both went to bed. We'd get the travel cot all set up, turn the light off in the living room etc and then move him. Once he started sleeping better at night I moved him into the same room with his sister, as I only have 2 little ones.

If you get desperate and the living room isn't too far, so you can still hear him, you can try that maybe?

You're an expert compared to me with 3 children, but it's not teeth is it causing the problem? Although you've probably tried all the avenues.

I persisted with picking him up and laying him down without leaving room etc, (the baby whisperer style of sleep training) with my little man at night if he wasn't due a feed, had a clean nappy and I knew I'd given him some teething gel so he wasn't in pain, until he got the message and went to sleep. The stage soon passed.

My son at 12 months has one nap at 10.30am and one at 2 or 3pm and gets up at 7am and goes to bed at 7pm and sleeps well now. Your nap sounds perfect to me in the day by the way.

I must say my boy is so different from my girl and she was never that problematic. But he is a great sleeper now x

Just to say if you do go down the controlled crying route the results 'should' be quick. At the most one week but in my experience (have done it twice with my DD) it has literally taken 2 nights maximum (and only crying for 45 mins in one go).She had been waking up every night for 3 months so I wasn't confident.
Anyway, what Im saying is you could warn your neighbours and do it on the weekend so your girls are disrupted less. However,I think it would be very difficult as you share a bedroom so a differnt approach might work better.Good Luck,I hope things improve soon.
