My dd's behaviour at playgroup...I think she'll end up being kicked out! What can I do?

My dd1 is 2.9 and goes to playgroup 3 mornings a week for a couple of hours. She loves going, but her behaviour is so bad I'm having to start picking her up before tidy up time/story time from next week. In general she's ok, as long as she's doing something she wants to do, but she will not listen or do what she's told. She's like this at home a lot too, its getting to be a bit of a nightmare. I can't help myself shouting at her which makes me feel like shit, because thats not really the kind of mum I want to be. She's just very, very single minded, and really stubborn! What can I do? I've tried reward charts, but they don't really work. And she'll quite happily sit on the naughty chair in playgroup for ages, rather than apologise/get back to playing. Is this just normal spirited toddler behaviour? If so, how do I deal with it? At my wits end.

bribery?
have you tried naughty spot/chair at home? I found quite effective for my kids as a short punishment. I think anything will work if you are consistent with it because the novelty of sitting in the hallway soon wore off for my kids. Also needs to be a short punishment as a 2 year olds attention span is tiny so 2 minutes on the naughty spot is an eternity to her.
