My 10-month old DS has suddenly undergone a dramatic personality change from sweet to incredibly stroppy. He's been ill for the last 6 weeks with an ear infection and tonsilitis but he's finally on the mend (checking with doc AGAIN later). He's started childcare again after a long spell off and separation anxiety is peaking - bad timing. (Weirdly, he's also constipated and sleeping more than usual - not sure if that's relevant though). When I pick him up from the childminder, he's in a terrible mood. He gets so hysterical that he turns purple. He arches his back in anger (or pain??), even - dangerously - in the bath which he usually loves. He clings to me like his life depended on it and even when I'm right up next to him but not holding him, he goes mental. Childminder says he's just testing the boundaries and we should ignore it. But he seems a little young for that. Is anyone going through this? And how do you handle it?
