uneven teething, is it normal?

my 13 month old has cut his first bottom two teeth as expected but when he cut his top 4 only three came through. I can see the very edge of the forth just splitting the gum but it is coming through much slower than the others, is this normal?

They often come through weird. My DS1 had just one top tooth for ages. Very attractive. And DS2 is refusing to have bottom teeth at the moment, just top ones - he's got four out.

jess has 2 bottom and one top - looks like two more on the bottom will appear before the other top one!

DD had 2 bottom teeth, then the top 2 but at the outside came down and she looked like vampira the bat baby for at least 2 months

DS was totally textbook though

I had 2 vampire babies - bottom middle 2 teeth followed by outside top front ones. Bless them.

i honestly think my 13m old has all of his teeth.. he has been so grotty lately . everyone asks me how many teeth he has... i couldnt tell u ... he has loads the last back ones at the bottom have come through... i seriously think he has a new tooth every day

KJ seems to be getting a little confused, since I stopped breast feeding him a couple of weeks ago he gets kind of over affectionate which ends up with a bite, I usually give him something else to bite on and tell him he mustn't bite me, it doesn't seem to be aggressive but is pretty painfull, anyone got any suggestions on how I should respond?

I think a firm "no biting" and distraction is the right way to go.
