Freezing hand when sleeping

My 9 month old has finally slept in his own cot for the past 2 nights for the whole night. However, in the morning his right hand is frozen because he sleeps on his right side and it seems he is cutting off the circulation. As he is finally sleeping all night on his own, I don't want to disturb him by putting him on his back but wanted to know if the bad circulation is dangerous.
Sorry if this seems a ridiculous question!
Thank you
KC

He would move if he was uncomfortable. When you are asleep the blood flow does reduce to the extremities. It may just be that - what makes you think he is cutting off the circulation - if this was the case his hand would be blue, as well as cold. I think perhaps he's just got his hand sticking out and getting cold?

From what I've read in the past, babies do have pretty poor ciruclation to their hands and feet - they will often feel cold while the rest of their body is warm (for that reason I always check DS's back or front to check how warm he is at night).

As whomoved said, his hand would be blue if he really was cutting off the circulation and would also be quite painful on waking I imagine.
