Nappy removal in cot

For the last few days DD (almost 2) has been removing his pj bottoms and nappy whilst in the cot. Unfortunately, we only find out when he starts yelling because his bed is wet. When I go up to him he is usually standing up and grinning widely - with the nappy neatly stored under his pillow.
Does anyone have any suggestions. At the moment I have put him back into babygros at night which are slightly harder to remove - but I feel sure its only a matter of time. I'm finding it hard to keep up with the washing and drying of sheets!!

Pull Ups

Put the nappy on back to front

Button a vest up over the pj trousers and nappy.

oh yes this is exactly what ds did 2 weeks before Christmas when he was 2. He was dry during the day and decided he no longer wanted to wear nappies at all!

so we had to go out and buy a bed 2 weeks before Christmas so he could get out to use his potty.

We lifted him onto the toilet before we went to bed for quite a while though. Maybe that would help, although the babygro's would make that hard!

Gaffer tape!

geordieminx · 14/12/2009 16:18

ds 2 1/2 did this.

nappy then pants then vest with poppers then babygrow.

Failing that. gaffer tape. and gloves

both my older two went through a stage of this, dd handed me a lump of poo quite proudly one morning when she was 2

both got bored of it in a few weeks though, although nappy covers with poppers slowed them down a bit.

I used tape as well and I put my daughters sleepsuit on back to front, that stopped her in her tracks

susiey · 14/12/2009 20:55

body suits with poppers was the only way for us

Nappy on backwards with pants on top and bodysuit and trousers. All that worked lol

geordieminx · 14/12/2009 22:41

With ds, its not to get his actual nappy off... its to get his hand into his nappy

The start of a beautiful friendship....

Same geordie. Ds wets all through his pjamas and sheets at least 2 or 3 times a week by poking his willy right out of his nappy
I have no way of stopping it and it's driving me nuts
