would your pre-schooler be happy to be blindfolded for a game?

We played pin the nose on Rudolph at ds' pre-school Christmas party and ds was the only child who wouldn't even consider being blindfolded (it was me running the comp so I also offered to cover his eyes with my hand,he refused this too). I wasn't surprised he wasn't keen, what surprised me was that 20 other under 5's weren't at all worried by it. What would your kids do?

Mine would run in the opposite direction yelling his head off.

mine wouldn't have even gone to preschool if he'd known there was a party.

no, mine would scream blue murder!

MarthaFarquhar · 14/12/2009 13:33

mine would, but has an irrational fear of the Hokey Cokey to make up for it.

DD did pin the tail on the donkey at a friends 3rd birthday party when she was 2. It didnt occur to me she wouldnt want to do it. Perhaps being familiar with it from a younger age helps???

A most definite no here.

WeakAtTheCheese · 14/12/2009 13:43

Def no here too.

She probably would but then again she often wanders round with a bucket or something else on her head

hazeyjane · 14/12/2009 13:52

dd1 would cry, then have nightmares about it for a month.

dd2 would grab the pin and run around the room wildly with it, trying to jab it into people's bottoms.

My only-just-3 yo was fine with this at dd's Christmas Fair last Friday.

Kathyis12feethighandbites · 14/12/2009 13:58

mind you my dcs do love blundering around the room with a blanket over their head claiming to be a blanket monster. If you had never experienced not being able to see before it might be scarier.

My 18MO is happy to have his head covered as long as he is in control... NO WAY would he deal with being blindfolded!!!
