at any feed. I have tried everything. At the end of this amount (often less) she just screams and screams until she is asleep, wakes then feeds, and the pattern continues, round the clock. Am finding things so hard as also have a toddler.
Has anyone experienced this?
She is not lactose intolerent, does not have reflux (or silent reflux), has mild wind but nothing severe, and has been given the complete all clear by 4 doctors, 2 health visitors, and a paediatrician, who all say just to bear with it. DD1 by 2 months was guzzling 7oz every 3 to 4 hours and was a very contented little girl. DD2 basically, if she is awake she is screaming.

Poor you

It's horrible in the early weeks when you've got one that won't chill! You'll be ok... Which you are probably sick of hearing by now! What milk are you giving? If it's formula, maybe you could try a different one? HTH xx

How often are you feeding her?

DS would only take about 3-4oz at 8wo but was feeding very frequently.

What milk are you using? SMA made DS very very windy and he cried a lot, especially on the pre-made stuff. we switched to C&G and it definitely improved things.

V similar to my DD2 who is enormous (off the charts for height and 90% for weight). She was on 6 feeds a day i.e. roughly every 3 hours then a dream feed at 8 weeks; we spread them out in last few weeks (she is now 3.5 months) so only 5 feeds a day and now up to 7 oz at some feeds; although there is still the odd one at 4oz.

On a different note why does everyone talk in ounces in 2009; I had to go and look at the bottle to see what it is in ml???

I also, think there is far too much emphasis in this country on the amount the kids eat; if they gain weight steadily they are fine. Have seen many kids being close to force fed and v overweight as mothers and HVs obsessed with them taking a "full" feed.

I would rather have my slim girls.

Have you tired a cranial osteopath? A friend has recently had a similar thing with her DC2 and it has been put down to colic.

I echo changing the formula (keep an eye on the silent reflux, which my DS1 had - it doesn't really present itself till about 10 weeks. If things haven't imprved - try Enfamil AR - worked wonders for us and I had a content baby again. You will need a bigger teat!). Have you also tried a bigger teat?
